Don’t stay in room 1!

The location is central and the staff are very kind. Laundry was decently priced and was finished very quickly. The hammock in the room was comfy!

We got room 1 for our several-night stay and it was pretty horrible because of the noise. We were woken up early because of people in the common area coming and going, eating breakfast, etc. The staff also played club music pretty loud and the speaker was right next to our door- we asked them to turn the music down several times. I kind of felt like part of the time that our room was too noisy to sleep was because of staff talking and playing music and stuff. I’m sure we would have had a better experience in another room at the back of the hostel- just request that they do not put you in room 1 or 2 since they are both SO loud near reception/common area.

Nice small hostel with good location

Good and cheap breakfast. Very friendly staff.

The dorms could be improved. There are not enough lockers in each room. And no plugs near the bed. Also no bed lamp. For me, the biggest downside was the uncomfortable bed.

Nice for a calm stay

This property was very pretty, I enjoyed being in the common area during the mornings. Everything felt clean. My blankets were very soft and I slept very well. The location was great as you didn’t have to walk far to get to museums or to several bars at night. I would definitely recommend to someone looking for a quiet place to sleep. When I asked for directions to Monserrate, a very kind man from the desk walked me all the way to the entrance of the mountain (also close to the hostel.)

The first night I (a solo female) arrived at 11pm, very nervous about walking in bogota by myself, and unable to find the hostel. The sign is very small and the streets a bit confusing. Directly in front of the door was a group of drunk people, one of whom was a man yelling at me to “come here baby.” Come to find out, a female worker was with this group and extremely drunk. It was not comforting and very unprofessional. The next few days, she seemed drunk all the time. The location is also a bit scary as there are many homeless men who would follow me every time I left. I wasn’t looking for a party, but this hostel had no event options or even suggestions for a Saturday night. Not even connections with another, more lively hostel. Also, there were only 4 lockers for 6 beds, and 2 outlets. Small improvements that would make a big difference.

Cute room, charming old details.

Cute room, charming old details. Good location close to everything in the center. Nice people working there.

The matrass was covered with plastic under the sheets, maybe for hygienic reasons, but made the bed a bit clammy. It's an old building so a little bit noisy.

The location is in a nice area within La Candelaria with...

The location is in a nice area within La Candelaria with lots of eating places and other hostels. The space itself has a nice patio inside. Easy atmosphere. Friendly staff. Quiet at night.

The patio has a roofing but when heavy rain started, everything was wet. You could just stay in your room but also there it was slightly dripping, luckily not on the bed.

Perfect location to explore La Candeleria by foot.

Perfect location to explore La Candeleria by foot. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Would say it’s not the best layout if you’re looking for a sociable hostal. There is one lounge room but is very dark and a main courtyard but with just one big table and plastic chairs. So people didn’t seem to spend much time in the hostal itself. Breakfast not included.

This is one of my favourite hostels of a 8 month trip. The staff are so lovely, happy to help and very accommodating. Have very good knowledge on the area and places to go. There is the perfect homely feel, with a great lounge, games, tv, fab kitchen to use and great communal areas. Bedrooms and bathrooms are kept very clean and super comfortable. It very good value for money as you are in a great location. Close to all the best places! Thank you for having us, I'll be back soon!

Good, chocolatey vibes

Great place, incredibly warm welcome from the staff which immediately made the whole place feel like home. Great kitchen with lots of utensils & utilities, the place is very clean and accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

The location was good, it is in a safe area, you are close...

The location was good, it is in a safe area, you are close to a busstop and there are enough places where you can eat. The staff that spoke english were very friendly and helpfull. The advised us were to eat and how we can get somewhere. Is was no problem to leave our bags in the hostel for a day eventhough we were checked out

Most of our stay there was only one staff member present. She didn't speak English and we didn't speak Spanish, she kept on speaking Spanish with us and tell us long stories without any handsigns, so we didn't understand any of it. She was also not familiar with Bogota. We booked a basic two person room, there was a hammock present, but we could not use it because the wall and the bed was in the way (just leave it out then was our conclusion). I also bummed my knie several times on the bed because the bedframe was sticking out and the room between the wall and bed was very small. Finally we are mold in our room and had trouble closing the door to our room and our toiletdoor.

Staff was amazing and really helpful so I actually feel terrible for the negative comments! The decoration was pretty and the wifi worked great! TV channels and TV was great! Shower was really warm.

The room was tiny and our bags barely fit, we had to jump over them to get around the room. The room door barely closed and it was a glass door, so not only could we hear everything from outside but all the light came in. The room was absolutely freezing, although the douvet was really warm. I found it too expensive.

Aceptable, bien ubicado, con buen precio

La ambientación y preservación antigua del hotel era muy linda. El living y el comedor muy lindo. La atención del personal fue buena y amable

Falta calefacción en las frescas noches, tanto en habitaciones como en espacios comunes. El baño debería ser mas amplio y cómodo y equipado. Para el agua caliente debería tener 1 o 2 termotanques en el exterior, en lugar de 3 calefones en interior (y con el tiraje hacia adentro). No me gustó que el desayuno lo cobren aparte, teniendo en cuenta q era un desayuno muy básico

Las fotos son muy distintas a la realidad de la Habitación que nos tocó. El espacio un poco reducido para el valor que cobran.

Buena habitación, pero el cobro no coincidió con lo que reservamos en Booking, nos cobraron 19% más

El lugar estaba muy limpio y la habitación confortable.

No me gustó que me cobraran más de lo que valía la habitación por Booking, supuestamente porque éramos colombianos nos cobraron un 19% más, algo que nunca nos había pasado en otras reservas realizadas con Booking. Nos sentimos algo estafados por esto.

La ubicación es fantástica, tienes al lado el centro y la...

La ubicación es fantástica, tienes al lado el centro y la Candelaria. El personal es muy amable y te ayuda en todo lo que pueda. La zona común con el patio es muy bonita. La relación calidad-precio es buena al fin y al cabo.

La habitación era diminuta y la ropa de la cama no estaba limpia al hacer el check-in. El baño compartido es incómodo: no tiene toma de corriente, la luz tiene temporizador y se apaga cada pocos minutos, no tiene nada para colgar la ropa cuando vas a ducharte.

Hostal agradable y buena ubicación

Nos gustó mucho la ubicación, en La Candelaria, una zona céntrica y segura. Las zonas comunes son preciosas y muy amplias. La cocina está bien equipada. El personal es muy muy agradable.

Lo único que podríamos decir es que la ventana de nuestra habitación estaba un pelín rota, por lo demás, genial.

Un hostal divino!

El hostal es muy bonito y la gente muy amable. Cuando estuve el ambiente era tranquilo, es decir, nada de fiestas hasta las 3 de la mañana, lo cual pasa en otros hostales. Los baños están limpios con agua caliente y el desayuno es bueno y barato (4 mil por café, huevos y pan).

Hostal excelente

De verdad, todo era perfecto. La gente que trabaja acá están muy simpática y ellos me ayudaron mucho. El hostal es muy limpio, el wifi funcione muy bien, siempre agua caliente y hay mucho espacio para cocinar si quieres Me voy a quedar acá de nuevo cuando volveré a Bogotá. Muchas gracias a todo.
